UTA Visa Experience

Hello every1.. Here i have just posted some of my experience i had with my VISA prep and the final interview..

I had my interview on 28th of July i.e Tuesday.. I was very excited for this day.. I had prepared for almost a month for this day getting all the documents ready and for the interview.. Its really a tedious work.. You should experience it urself to get all the fun and i shld say u ll be def rewarded grt..!!

B4 the d-day ==>

I went to Bangalore on Sunday to collect my VISA receipts frm my aunt as she had paid the fees in HDFC bank Bangalore.. After that i left for Chennai on Monday as i had my interview in Chennai Consulate under emergency appointment.. The journey was gud and the ticket fare was also cheap (Rs.110/-).. Wen i landed in Chennai the place was really dirty. Chennai wasn't as i expected.. Unhygenic place.. SHIT!! But i was more concerned abt the interview dan the place so had to adjust.. N moreover ppl der wont even hav d least courtesy to reply to directions asked.. Watever lang u ask dem in, dey will reply in TAMIL only even if you dont know tamil.. Tats worst der..

I went to the place which was my uncle's branch office.. Everythin was arranged der for me and my dad to spend the nite der and go for the interview the next morning.. Had dinner and looked thru my financials once just to make sure i know all the values properly.. Den after tat i tried to sleep.. But the hell was waiting for me.. I couldn't get sleep, mainly for tension abt tomm and secondly for tat hot humid high temp in Chennai.. Somehow i managed to get sleep for few hours cause i dint wanna fal asleep during the interview.. He he he ;)

On the d-day ==>
As i said i couldn't get much sleep and due to so much hot temp i got up at 5 in d morning.. Got ready, had coffee and left for the consulate at 6:45.. The auto people in Chennai are horrible.. They charge heftily.. After much bargain we got an auto for Rs.100/- to the consulate even though it was just 4-5 kms away.. It took me 45 mins to reach der.. I donno even though it was short journey it took us so long time to reach der.. At 7:30 i was in front of the consulate.. Der was a huge queue, where people wer waiting to get all types of VISAs.. There we wont be allowed more than half an hour b4 to the interview b4 our scheduled time.. So i waited for 15 mins and spoke with dad for the last time b4 interview and he wished me luck.. Then at 7:45 i joined the queue which was very long.. It took me 25 mins to come to the first counter of the interview..

7:45 AM :--
[1] Reached the first counter.. They check your VISA appointment letter and your passport here.. After checking they put a seal on your appointment letter..

[2] After this you will be checked once for any electronic items and then let inside the consulate.. Outside its so hot n humid even in the early morning.. But once you are inside they have AC and you will feel like heaven mainly cause of the cool atmosphere..

[3] Next you will be thouroughly checked for any metal items and electronic items using a metal detector.. Next all your documents will be checked for any sealed envelopes..

[4] After this you will led into another room where all the main documents will be checked and put into a blue folder.. Here my documents were put into the blue folder by an Indian.. She was shouting like anything on every1.. When i went to the counter i gave all the documents to her for checking.. She insted of speaking into the mic, spoke away from it.. I couldn't even hear a word.. She was saying to put my right hand forefinger on the scanner.. I th8 it was jus the Index(Fore) finger ad put that on the scanner.. Den she came near the mic and shouted right hand all four fingers on the scanner.. I had missed hearing that word "all".. He he he.. :P
